Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides direct care for children from birth to adolescence in a primary care setting.  Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultations, and health education within the scope of expertise and agreed upon protocols.  Refers to preceptors if health status of patient is beyond their scope of practice.  Assists in providing PI reports for improving the quality of patient care.  Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Director or the Medical Director.

    Qualifications:

    • Licensed as a registered nurse and officially recognized as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.  
    • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.  
    • Five years clinical nursing experience required.  
    • One year clinical experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting preferred.  
    • Must possess the ability to prioritize task and manage time efficiently.  
    • Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center.  
    • Must maintain prescriptive authority recognition.  
    • Must have the ability to work as a team player at all times.  
    • Current CPR certification required.
