The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the development of the Tandem Health network, as well as maintaining its functioning and security, both onsite and in the cloud. The Senior Network Engineer optimizes and troubleshoots the networks for users.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support and coordination for the organizations' infrastructure as well as provide tier 4 support.
• Designs and deploys functional networks such as LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
• Performs installation, configuration, monitoring and operation of the organizations' data center and all associated systems and resources. Provides lead technical support for all "As-a-service (AaS)" solutions, virtual servers, backup and DR systems, desktop environment and mobile devices,
• Configures and installs servers, software, routers, and several other networking devices.
• Monitors network performance on a regular basis.
• Resolves support issues that have escalated via the local infrastructure or troubleshoot the cloud.
• Works closely with internal stake holders, Clinical Informatics team, and/or vendors to accomplish goals and projects initiatives.
• Automates tasks and monitors their effectiveness.
• Provides lead technical expertise, guidance, and implementation services regarding the design, development, and operation of information systems and solutions.
• Creates, tests and oversees security measures by implementing network enhancements.
• Communicates with the users as and when required.
• Maintains and updates the technical reports on a timely basis.
• Suggests improvements to boost the network's capacity, performance, and scalability.
• Remains updated about the latest developments in network technologies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or related role in the IT industry.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent discipline preferred.
• CCNA or equivalent certification(s) preferred.
• Proven experience with CISCO Meraki preferred.
• Proven experience with Nutanix preferred.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Experience and expertise in virtual server environments, MS Windows server, network and MS Office 365 administration, and MFA.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Advanced knowledge of Network and server design, network administration practices and procedures, cloud services and network hardware and software, including switching and routing with a solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities
• Work extremely well in a Team as well individually, with a strong attention to detail.
• Effectively oral and written communication on technical concepts for both technical and non-technical people
• Work collaboratively and strong project management skills with the ability to lead/execute network infrastructure projects
• Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive patient data and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network resources.
• Current networking knowledge in support of new technologies and their deployment, including but not limited to SD-WAN, VPN, and SIP
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve VPN performance and connectivity issues.
• Demonstrated ability with cloud and physical networking and virtualization technologies, such as Microsoft Azure as well as supporting and administration of DRaaS environment.
• Working knowledge of network monitoring and management tools, such Wireshark
• Understanding of network segmentation and micro-segmentation methodologies for enhanced security models and techniques.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in Healthcare, such as healthcare (HIPAA), finance (PCI DSS), or government (NIST, FISMA, CIS)
