Behavioral Health Counselor - LISW or LPC Full-time or Part-time
Duties and Responsibilities:
Formulates programs for
treatment and rehabilitation of clients using knowledge of current mental
health diagnosis and counseling and treatment techniques.
Counsels clients individually
and/or in group sessions (as appropriate) to assist the client in
overcoming individual or family issues, mental illness, or substance
abuse.
Counsels family members (as
appropriate) to assist with treatment issues and to serve as a support
system to the client.
Refers clients to other
supportive services as needed.
Prepares and maintains reports
and case histories.
Assists in providing quality
assurance and process improvement reports for improving quality of patient
care and provides support to the Case Management Team, as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
required.
LISW, LMSW, LPC or LMFT
license in the State of South Carolina required.
One to three years' experience in a primary
healthcare setting preferred.
Must maintain a South Carolina Drivers License.
CPR certification required.
