Administer skilled nursing care to patients according to their physical and emotional needs and in accordance with the medical plan of care to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the center as appropriate.
Obtain vital signs and patient history.
Prepare patients and assist with exams and procedures.
Administer medications and immunizations.
Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
Provide basic wound care and monitor patient status.
Communicate results to patients per provider direction.
Perform follow-up calls and assist with patient/family education for continuation of care.
Assist with precepting new clinical employees and student nurses.
Document all care in EMR accurately and timely.
Maintain HIPAA compliance.
Follow infection control policies.
Performs other clinical duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Graduate of accredited licensed practical nursing program and licensed to practice in South Carolina by the SC State Board of Nursing.
Two years of clinical experience in primary care preferred. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to relate to a variety of people at different developmental levels.
Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center.
Must be able to work as a team player at all times.
Current CPR certification required.
